About the Event
Unity in the Desert is proud to host the 2nd Annual Ridgecrest Pride, a free community celebration centered on LGBTQIA+ people, families, friends, and allies. This event is about joy, safety, visibility, and creating a space where people can show up fully as themselves.
In many rural communities, affirming spaces are rare. Ridgecrest Pride exists to change that, even if only for a day at a time at first. We want this event to feel bright, welcoming, and unmistakably rooted in love, solidarity, and community care.
Why It Matters
Visibility matters. Belonging matters. Safe public spaces matter. Events like Pride can make a real difference by helping people feel seen, reducing isolation, and reminding LGBTQIA+ community members that they are not alone.

Who We Are
Unity in the Desert is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the Indian Wells Valley LGBTQIA+ community. Our mission is to support and advocate for a world in which all LGBTQIA+ people receive respect, acceptance, and the opportunity to live authentically.
